Clothing often hides the sex and displays the gender. Gendered clothing perpetuates the gender binary, which classifies gender into two opposite forms of ‘masculine’ and ‘feminine.’ Things like hair length, jewelry, dresses, and suits have all been socially constructed to signify certain genders and sexual orientations. However, we should realize that physical appearance should not solely dictate our conceptions and assumptions of someone’s gender. At our core, we are all still our own souls.
